Opposing Israeli attempt to legalise theft of Zaytouna-Oliva

On Monday 19 December, 2016 (13:00) Haifa District court (acting as Maritime court) at Ave. Pal Yam 15a, Haifa, there will be a protest against the ongoing illegal blockade of Gaza and to demand the return of our Freedom Flotilla boat so that we can take it to Gaza without delay. 

The Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC) has been challenging the illegal blockade of the Gaza Strip for years, employing direct action, consisting of boats sailing to and from Gaza. The most recent attempt was the Women's Boat to Gaza, which ended when a sailing boat (Zaytouna-Oliva), with 13 women from different countries, sailed across the Mediterranean Sea towards Gaza. As with all of our boats in the last five years, the Israeli Occupation Forces attacked it. Zaytouna Oliva was illegally boarded in international waters and taken against our will to Ashdod, denying us the ability to reach our sisters and brothers in Palestine.

The Freedom Flotilla Coalition is represented in this case by the Israeli law firm of Gaby Lasky, who helped free many of our Women's Boat to Gaza participants and who successfully challenged the Israeli government's illegal seizure of the Swedish Ship to Gaza sailing vessel Estelle in the Israeli Supreme Court.

Israël essaie de légaliser le vol de la Zaytouna-Oliva ; nous nous y opposons.

Lundi 19 décembre 2016 à 13h, devant le tribunal de district de Haifa (en tant que tribunal maritime), 15a avenue Pal Yam, une manifestation est organisée contre le blocus illégal continu de Gaza et pour exiger la restitution de notre bateau de la Flottille de la Liberté afin que nous puissions le mener sans délai à Gaza.

Cela fait des années maintenant que la Coalition de la Flottille de la Liberté veut briser le blocus illégal de la bande de Gaza, par de l’action directe, à savoir en envoyant des bateaux vers et de  Gaza, Lors de la dernière tentative en septembre-octobre 2016, le Bateau des femmes pour Gaza un voilier, la Zaytouna-Oliva a pris la mer avec 13 femmes à bord, de différents pays, et traversé la Méditerranée pour se rendre à Gaza. Le 5 octobre, les forces d’occupation israéliennes ont attaqué le bateau, comme tous les autres depuis plus de cinq ans. La Zaytouna-Oliva a été abordée illégalement dans les eaux internationales et amenée de force au port d’Ashdod, nous empêchant ainsi de nous rendre aux côtés de nos sœurs et frères en Palestine.

La Coalition de la Flottille de la Liberté est représentée cette fois-ci par le cabinet d’avocats israélien de Gaby Lasky, qui a permis la libération de plusieurs participantes du Bateau des femmes pour Gaza. Ce cabinet a aussi réussi à faire opposition, devant la Cour suprême d’Israël,  à la capture illégale par le gouvernement d’Israël du navire l’Estelle, de la Campagne suédoise un Bateau pour Gaza.
